Privacy Policy

Gevity (the "App") helps families track medicines, vitals, doctor visits, vaccinations, and other personal health information in one place. We take privacy seriously because the data you put into the App is, by its nature, sensitive. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have.

1. Who runs the App

Gevity is operated by an independent developer. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at privacy@getgevity.app.

2. What we collect

• Account information: name, email address, profile photo, and (optionally) date of birth, gender, height, weight, and blood type — provided by you during sign-up and profile setup.
• Health information: medicines, dose schedules, doses you mark as taken or missed, vital signs (blood pressure, glucose, weight, etc.), wellness signals (steps, water, sleep, mood), doctor visits, vaccinations, lab reports, insurance documents, and emergency-card details — only what you choose to add.
• Family graph: names, relationships, and basic profile fields for any family members you add or invite.
• Authentication metadata: when you sign in via Google, Apple, or email/password we receive an authentication token and your email address from the identity provider. We do not see your password.
• Device and usage data: anonymous diagnostics (crash reports, basic interaction analytics) used to keep the app stable.

3. How we use it

• To run the App's core features — reminders, charts, leaderboards, sharing within your family.
• To sync your data across the devices where you sign in to the same account.
• To send notifications you've explicitly enabled (medicine reminders, doctor-visit alerts, etc.).
• To diagnose crashes and improve stability.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use your health data for advertising.

4. AI symptom checker and Health Assistant

The AI Symptom Checker sends your typed query (and the prior turns of that conversation) to Google's Gemini API for processing. We do not send your name, family graph, medicines, or vitals along with the query.

The AI Health Assistant (available on Plus and Family plans) additionally sends a per-question snapshot of your family's structured health data — medicine list, recent vitals, document metadata (titles, categories, tags, dates), wellness logs, and appointments — so the model can answer questions about your data. We do not send full document bodies, photos, or full insurance numbers. Like the Symptom Checker, conversations are processed per-request and not persistently stored by Famgevity. Both features are informational only and do not constitute medical advice.

5. Where your data is stored

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore for structured data, Firebase Storage for documents and photos), encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by Google's standard infrastructure. Region: asia-south1 (Mumbai) by default. Documents you choose to save to Google Drive are stored in your own Drive account under our app's folder, not on our servers.

6. Sharing within your family

Family members you add can see the categories of data you choose to share with them (medicines, vitals, documents, etc.), via the per-member privacy controls in Family → Privacy. You can revoke sharing at any time. Members are never shown each other's authentication credentials.

7. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with:

• Google Firebase — to host authentication, the database, file storage, crash reporting, and analytics.
• Google (Gemini API) — only when you actively type into the AI symptom checker (see §4).
• RevenueCat — only if you start a paid subscription, to manage billing.

We never sell or rent your information. We do not share with advertisers or data brokers.

8. Your controls

• Edit / delete: You can edit or delete any item in the App at any time from its detail screen.
• Account deletion: Email privacy@getgevity.app from the address on your account; we'll delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain records by law.
• Export: Email us and we'll send you a copy of your data in JSON within 30 days.
• Notifications: Toggle in your device's system settings or in Profile → Notification settings.

9. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. Adults may add their children as family members and manage that child's records on their behalf — those records are accessible only to the family the parent has set up.

10. Security

We rely on Firebase's industry-standard security model: TLS for all network traffic, server-side encryption at rest, and per-user authentication enforced by Firestore Security Rules. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

11. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and bump the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged in-app.
